World Book Day 2019

Happy World Book Day everyone! 🎉

I hope all of you who have either been wearing or helping to create costumes for today have had a great time. Even me and Bobby managed to join in the fun this year!

“We all float down here.”

Channeling some strong Stephen King’s IT vibes here. (Yes, Bobby is the balloon. 🎈)

But of course that isn’t all that WBD is about, now is it? Things have been bit of a whirlwind in my universe since getting back from my writing retreat. (More about said retreat coming soon! 👀) However, I have had chance to treat myself to some books just in time for today’s celebrations and I thought I’d share with you my current TBR pile and I’d love it if you share yours with me!

Nought Forever by Malorie Blackman My pick from this year’s World Book Day books. I’ve never actually read Noughts & Crosses, but have seen the play. So I’m definitely intrigued as to where this book will take the story.

My Mum Tracy Beaker by Jacqueline Wilson – A recent discovery on my behalf. Growing up with Tracy Beaker I just had to get this book. However, I think I might read the old ones again before diving in to this new chapter!

Still Me by Jojo Moyes – What can I say, I’m a sucker for chick-lit! Plus my Mom brought me the previous two books on this series as gifts last year, so I had to complete the set.

So yes, don’t be shy! I’d love to hear what you are currently reading and what you plan to read in the coming weeks.

I looking forward to seeing your choices and happy reading!
